Feb 10 -12 -  High School Youth 30 Hour Famine
The High School Youth Group is participating in the 30 Hour Famine. On February 10th-12th, we will be fasting for 30 hours to help children living in extreme poverty overcome hunger. We're asking for any monetary donations from the congregation because every dollar makes a huge difference. Just $30 is enough to feed and care for one child for a month. Our goal is to raise $3600 to help feed and care for 10 starving children for a year.  Please help us reach our goal…and vote for who will kiss a cow!  There are three cans in the Parish Hall, labeled with the names: Pastor Rod, Pastor Cathy and Jerry Frankenfield. Whichever can has the most money in it by the time we break our famine on Sunday, Feb. 12th determines who will have the honor of kissing a cow.
You can also donate online on our 30 hour famine webpage: http://support.worldvision.org/goto/stpauls

LIFETOUCH  ONLINE  DIRECTORY
St. Paul’s 2011 pictorial directory is completed and most members have received their copy of this printed directory.  If you haven’t received your copy, they are available in the narthex and in the church office.  As you all probably realize, as soon as any directory is printed, some of the member information (email addresses, phone numbers, etc.) quickly becomes outdated.  Lifetouch now offers an easy solution to this problem, and much, much more with their online directory!

This online directory is safe and secure and is only available to members of St. Paul’s. Be assured that your children’s photos will be secure because Lifetouch uses the same host servers for this online church directory as they use for the children’s photos in their school picture programs. Additionally, every family will have a unique user name and password to access their family profile and cannot edit any other family’s profile information. YOU control what is displayed  -  even on the roster.  The profile can be expanded to include all family members and their interests, etc. Or your profile can be blank, although the staff would really appreciate an accurate address and phone number!

The basic information, which is already contained in the printed version, is part of this online document so you can now update your contact information quickly and easily by accessing your family’s profile. Additionally, members can customize their information by including such data as birth dates for all members, special interests/hobbies, or church activities that you participate in at St. Paul’s.  Similar to any other online directory, you can search for members with similar interests (golf anyone?) or find out a friend’s birthday or email address, or find another usher to sub for you on a Sunday that you are unable to attend the service, etc.  This online directory will also facilitate the task of maintaining a current church roster by allowing new members to be added when necessary.  All in all, it should provide a wonderfully easy means of connecting with other members in our church community.

Initially, all members will receive an email welcoming them to this new online community and providing information on how to access their profile, as well as supplying an initial logon name and password.  Once you have accessed your profile using this provided logon/password, you are encouraged to set up a user name and password of your choice and then fill out as much of the additional information as you desire. Access to this online directory will be available via the St. Paul’s website’s homepage, similar to the way you signed up for your photography sessions last Fall.

We will be launching the online pictorial directory this week. The website will not be active until approximately 5 February, as we need to email all members’ initial login/password info.  Once you have your login please click this link for the online directory.
